This Thursday the Arizona State Football season begins!! I am an Alumni of ASU and Dan has been a fan of ASU all of his life. We are season ticket holders, so needless to say, we are really excited to see a new year begin!
Above is Lauren's cheerleading outfit her Grandma Connie bought for her last Christmas! Thank You Grandma Connie!! :) We all thought Lauren would be accompanying us to the games this year, but is seems we will have to wait yet another year. Grandma Connie and Grandpa Don also have season passes, so we will have lots of fun in the future!
Since becoming ticket holders, Dan has taught me lots about football. Our typical "football class" is held at our favorite breakfast place, Mimi's Cafe. Dan takes the napkins, tears them into little pieces, rolls each piece into a tiny ball and then places them on the table in "formation". He points to a "player" and I recite what position he plays. :) The waitresses think we are crazy, I'm sure! :)
It's lots of fun, though.
I will say, even though I know a lot more about football now, I still am apt to be people watching and searching for the Team Mascot "Sparky" during the game. :)

Lauren will look so cute in that outfit, I am sure! As for the football...make sure you have a good solid and warm cushion to protect your behind as you watch. Those cold seats are a real "bummer'. (groan)
Okay, so I wasn't really thinking when I said that you needed to protect your behind from the cold...I'm Canadian! LOL
Okay, so instead you should make sure to pack some sunscreen. That is my best attempt at saving face.;)
I love it! I love it! You guys are hysterical. That sounds like Drew and I with basketball! :-) Actually, we had our first date at a Sun Devil's game! Go Sun Devils!

We enjoyed reading your blog & getting caught up on where things stand so far. Grandma was here for supper (Sept. 4) & we were able to show it to her. I think she enjoyed it, but she didn't think she could send a note so I am. The cheerleading outfit is sooo cute. Oh, & about Dan's football lesson, we can so see him doing that! You two are great!!! Can't wait till you have Lauren. Enjoy your football games. We'll look for you on TV. :) We miss you.
