Poor Lauren has been so sick since last Sunday and her temp is still in the 103-104 range today. Today was supposed to be a day of celebration, my graduation, etc. but instead we spent the day in pediatrician offices and getting Laurens first xray. It has been heart breaking to see her so miserable. I know she loves me, but I feel so cruel shoving medication down her throat, giving her cool baths, etc.
Thank you Mary for dinner the other night. I cannot tell you how much that meant. I am SO fortunate to have you as a friend and am really glad we are neighbors now. :) I took a pic of the dinner you sent, but I am hardly able to keep my eyes open to download the pic's right now. It's been a long week.
Please keep Lauren (Lo Lo) in your prayers. She did test positive for the Influenza A today, so at least I know what we are dealing with, but I tell you it is one thing to be a health care provider and a much different thing to be a mommy of a very sick little girl.

I'm so sorry Lauren is still not well. I thought maybe she was turning a corner on Wens. It's so exhausting and sad to have a sick child. Hopefully she'll be better soon and we can hit the park, the zoo, the mall...you name it!
Give her a big squeeze for me. And, for what it's worth, I was celebrating your graduation today..in spirit!
Awwww...poor sweet baby. I hope she is feeling better very soon.
Oh poor baby. I remember when S.G. was just over a year old; she got really sick with a throat infection. She had high fever, blisters on throat and was just miserable. We had to hold her down and force medicine down her throat. She couldn't suck, so she had to learn to drink from a cup. She also stopped sucking her finger during that time. It was heartbreaking. She also had to be in my arms constantly. She loved VeggieTales, so I remember calling my husband and begging him to stop by walmart on his way home to pick up as many videos as he could.
My prayers are with you two. I hope she is feeling fine for her first Christmas at home.

I knew you said Lauren was sick, but I didn't know HOW sick until I got home from China. I am so so sorry... I hope she is doing better by now. Mary told me you are sick now too... You just can't catch a break. You are in my prayers my friend. Hang in there. If I lived in AZ I'd bring you dinner too!!!
