13.1 Miles

We ran the P.F. Chang's Half Marathon today and I've never had so much fun while experiencing pain. :) There was so much to see while running that it went surprisingly fast. We saw a couple running in full "Superman" outfits... boots, capes, and all! I also saw a man running in his bath robe. Very interesting. :)

It was a long, slow walk back to the car afterwards, but we met many awesome people and really had a good time. We plan to make a tradition of running it each year. We noticed they have a kids 1-mile run as well...I think I know a little girl who may run in this someday! :)

Well, we have the day off tomorrow. Yeah! Hope you all are having a great weekend.

Way to go. I wish my husband and I were more athletic. We aren't at all. We bought a treadmill and are trying desperately to be motivated to use it. We are, but it's not so much fun. I bet your little Lauren will love being outdoors. I know ours does; it even said so on her paperwork from China.

Congratulations! As a runner I know how grueling it is, but how good you feel afterwards. I would eventually like to run a half marathon, but am currently only running about 10K (6 miles). To double my mileage would kill me at this point, but maybe in the summer....

Once again. You guys amaze me! I too wish you could tell me all about it over a cup of coffee! Sigh. Darn state lines! :-) Drew & I are going to start running again once it warms up a little... it's just too cold right now! We are whimps! :-)

You and seem similar except for the actual "running" part. HA! I am NOT a runner, but would love to one day, possibly, maybe, if it wouldn't kill me, try to do some kind of walk or run. I think the experience would be fun. Great job you two!

It was nice to find your blog. My parents actually just moved to Peoria
today. Best wishes on your journey to
Lauren.

Way to go guys! I only wish I could have been there. I remember Tara & Leah running "Tot Trots" when they were sooo little. Tara plans to run a 1/2 marathon this fall, after training in Florida all summer. We hope to see all of you all sometime this year. We miss you. Uncle Larry
