Back Burner

Well, I have to admit...I've been feeling a little rebellious lately. Our fingerprints expire this month and I haven't done a thing about it. This wait,
lack of information, and hanging by a red thread..it's definetly not for the faint hearted.

However, I have felt a sense of relief by putting my thoughts and plans of adoption on the back burner temporarily this month. During this time I have decided to start working toward my Nurse Practitioner degree. I'm pretty excited about this! It's been a 5 year goal of mine, so I figure why not now! Dan is excited as well. He is finishing his last year at Glendale High and will teach summer school this summer and then private tutoring until Lauren arrives. Change is good. God only knows why it has taken us this long to start a family, but I know looking back it will all be perfect timing..His timing.

Very exciting changes! I wish you the best of luck as you reach toward your nurse practitioner degree! Best of luck to Dan as well (from a fellow teacher). :)

Mardi, good luck with your new program! I'm just finishing an advanced degree, and I'm so glad I pushed myself to do it.

You asked on my blog what brand my new stroller is. It's a BOB Revolution 2007. There's a website called babygaga.com that rates strollers. I was pleased with the rating it received and that gave me the confidence to purchase it. But to tell you the truth the thing that really got me was how dang cute it is! ;-)

Hi there Mardi!
That sounds like a good plan. It's a plan you have some control over...and I think you'll be an awesome Nurse Pracitioner! :) Lauren will be so proud of her Mommy!!!

We just got our 171H for our second adoption. I just can't wait to get logged in, and then forget about it for a long while. I know our wait is going to be soooo long, so we will get busy with other projects as well. When you get Lauren, you will forget how long it took. Yes, you'll look back and remember it in months/years, but you will forget the agony of the wait.

Is there room on your little burner for me? We have put all our plans on "hold" until September. I just got completely overwhelmed trying to rush everything. Keep us posted on the Nursing stuff! ; )
