It's been an extra busy week this week, so I haven't been able to post, but I wanted to post a quick note before heading out. First of all, our travel has been put on hold indefinetly until the swine flu scare is over and China allows us to travel. We have cancelled our flights and they are on hold now.
BUT...Mary may be getting her call today!! Oh I so pray she does!! I will be thinking of you all day Mary! I remember the day I got my call and I was shaking with excitement. It's been a long time coming and I am so excited that my good friend Mary may get to see her daughter's face soon! Who knows, maybe we will even travel together.
Off to clinical now...

Mardi, I am sorry. You sound like you are in good spirits, but I know this is very disappointing news. Did they give you any hopeful signs that these restrictions might be lifted? I pray this mess is over with very soon for you and for Mary... and then for the rest of us! :) Hang in there.

I can't believe your travel plans are cancelled! Are there many others who have had this happen to them? Why are some families still travelling? We just received our travel dates yesterday and booked our flights. Cancellation insurance does not cover adoption changes. I sure hope this doesn't happen to us! We received our referral at the beginning of March. Our Visa to travel to China runs out June 19, so we had better get there soon. Oh Mardi, I am so sorry that your travel has been put on hold. I will pray mightily for your sense of peace...and for sweet Lauren...and for this flu scare to just go AWAY. NOW! Love!!
