Last night Dan and I met with a few of our travel group members that live nearby and had dinner at Mimi's. We had such a good time! One of the girls has been to China before and had great tips! One I hadn't thought about was to call our bank and credit card company to let them know we would be traveling in China so they wouldn't deny our purchases. Also, she said we can easily go to ATM's and get money using our debit card, so no need to bring Yuan with us. What a blessing to have met these wonderful people in our group and I look forward to our trip even more now!

careful with the ATM thing. You could be charged fees for using an ATM outside the USA. You could check this with your bank though. Blessings from TN...looking forward to seeing you all together in China!

First, let me just say that my heart just sank after reading about the delay. Girl, God must have some kind of amazing daughter waiting for y'all for all the crazy delays that have happened! Seriously, I almost couldn't even stomach the thought of what your heart did when reading of another delay RIGHT before leaving!! I prayed for you right then and there. Second, a MUST have for your trip is DUCT TAPE. You laugh, but I guarantee you will use that stuff for more than one thing! ; )
